Community Involvement Program

Since the inception of the Green Lake County Fair Community Involvement Program (CIP), improvements have been made to the track area and the horse ring.  CIP funds have been used to add more entertainment and popular attractions.  The Fair installed water faucets outside for use by food and non-food vendors.  More recently, new tri-fold display stands were purchased for our ever-growing photography exhibit.  Many areas over the past few years have been improved and enhanced that would not have been possible without the help of this community-supported program.  Last year new fans for the Poultry/Rabbit barn were purchased, along with display racks for the Clothing Department.  This year some of the funds will be used to support the new Shooting Sports 4-H project, animal pens/gates and more exhibit updates.

2012 CIP Brochure

The Green Lake County Fair Committee aspires to increase the entertainment and family programming during the Fair, and it is our hope that support from business/community service groups may be shown through participation in our Sponsorship Program.  In return, the Green Lake County Fair will give recognition to you through event promotions and at the events themselves.  In most cases, signage at the event will be provided.

Other ways to support the Fair include:

Community Group Partner
Service groups can also be involved in making the Green Lake County Fair a true community-planned and sponsored event.  We’d like to invite your group to conduct a fundraiser at our Fair!  We are hoping to increase the amount of vendors and events/activities at the Fair and feel this would be a wonderful opportunity for your group to show support of the Fair and promote your organization.  A portion of your proceeds will be donated to the CIP Fund.

 Volunteer Partner
We need helping hands.  In order to incorporate new ideas and community events, we need people!  Please consider volunteering:  superintendent assistants, clerks, herdsmanship judges, gate tenders, building security helpers, Fair Office volunteer, Fair set-up night, etc.  There are several opportunities to help organize, plan and implement events.

 In-Kind Support Partner
There are many services/items that are needed and would be greatly appreciated as donations to help make the Fair a wonderful family event.  Perhaps you have a business that specializes in something that would be of great use at the Fair.  We also welcome individuals with a desire to contribute!

Check out the list of past and present supporters of the Fair since the inception of the Fair’s CIP Program!
